During the First Age, the White Elves were led by King Jak'lyc. The records of the First Age are extremely sparse, but what is known is Jak'lyc created (or discovered) the first Nether Portal. He commanded many thousands of mining missions between Elves and Men into the Nether for glowstone before the Zombie Pigmen murdered all the miners and invaded the overworld!
